Mezobromelia Bromeliad Plant Species

Mezobromelia (mez-o-bro-meel’ee-a) - Belonging to the Tillandsioideae subfamily; this is a rare genus which is not found in cultivation and only 5 species have been identified.

They are similar to guzmania, epiphytic and grow at high altitudes. Two of the known species are Mezobromelia bicolor and Mezobromelia fulgens.
