Plant had red "sword" from July to mid November. Dried and got dead looking. I cur it off. Have many new green shoots. Will continue to water as before and wait for something to happen.

My question is: The spike has gone from yellow-orange color to green. When is the right time to cut off the spike? Then do I fertilize afterwards?

Thanks.
