Fernseea (fern-see’a) – Belonging to the Bromelioideae subfamily; one of the two species is Fernseea itatiaiae.

This is a small xerophytic, plant, with firm, narrow, heavily spined leaves 15-18 cm long. It is not known to be in cultivation.
